Custom T-Shirt Printing for Coolangatta, Gold Coast
Xpress Tees has been printing custom t-shirts, uniforms and merchandise on the Gold Coast since 2005. We don’t have a walk-in store in Coolangatta itself, but our nearest location, Xpress Tees Surfers Paradise, is about twenty-nine minutes away up the Gold Coast Highway, with screen printing, DTF and embroidery equipment on site, not outsourced. Whether it’s a one-off tee for a weekend at the beach or a bulk uniform run for a hotel or cafe along Marine Parade, there’s no minimum order, so a single shirt gets the same attention as a hundred, and if your order qualifies, we can turn it around the same day. Browse the full range on the main custom t-shirt printing Gold Coast site before you visit, or if you need print on demand for an online store or a one-off order, our print on demand service can help. Prefer the southern end of the coast? Our Ashmore store is also an option, or start browsing the custom t-shirt printing shop and start a design online right now.
Coolangatta takes its name from a shipwreck. The 83 foot schooner Coolangatta was wrecked on Kirra Beach on 18 August 1846 while carrying red cedar logs from the Tweed River. Government surveyor Henry Schneider named the district after the wreck while surveying the area in 1883, ahead of a land auction in March 1884. Point Danger, the headland marking the Queensland and New South Wales border, took its present name from an 1831 map based on 1828 survey work, and Snapper Rocks just around the point is named after the HM Colonial Cutter Snapper, which passed by in July 1822 under Lieutenant W. L. Edwardson.
The South Coast railway linking Nerang to Tweed Heads opened on 10 August 1903, helping establish Coolangatta as a holiday destination. Coolangatta State School opened provisionally in February 1919, during the border closure brought on by the 1918 flu pandemic, with its permanent building officially opened on 2 October 1920 by Queensland Governor Matthew Nathan, and the school later moved to its current Stapylton Street site in 1977. Point Danger is managed today by the City of Gold Coast, and Coolangatta sits alongside our Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach service areas, as well as the rest of our Gold Coast service areas.

Coolangatta Customers, Common Questions
Do you have a printing store in Coolangatta?
Not yet. Coolangatta is a service area for us rather than a walk-in store location. Our nearest Xpress Tees is in Surfers Paradise, about twenty-nine minutes away up the Gold Coast Highway, where every order for Coolangatta customers is printed on site. Drop off your design in person, or start it online and collect from Surfers Paradise once it is ready.
Is there a minimum order for custom t-shirt printing for Coolangatta customers?
No. Our Surfers Paradise store prints single shirts and bulk uniform orders under the same in house process, so a one off gift gets exactly the same attention as a hundred unit team order. Because we do not outsource printing, there is no supplier minimum forcing you to order more than you actually need, and pricing simply scales with quantity rather than a flat setup fee applying only below a certain order size.
Can Coolangatta customers get same day t-shirt printing?
Often, yes. Same day turnaround is available for orders that qualify, and because Surfers Paradise is only about twenty-nine minutes from Coolangatta up the Gold Coast Highway, it is easy to drop off in the morning and collect the same afternoon. Call ahead if you are working to a tight deadline and we will confirm whether your order can be turned around the same day before you make the trip.
Can you print merchandise for tourism operators, hotels or cafes near Gold Coast Airport?
Yes. We regularly print event tees, tote bags and promotional products for exhibitors and event organisers at GCCEC, with fast turnaround for last minute additions. Bring us your artwork and quantities and we will quote based on your event dates, whether it is a single exhibitor stand or merchandise for an entire conference.
