Custom Screen Printing in Gold Coast
Bulk-friendly screen printing for teams, businesses and events, printed in house on the Gold Coast, with no minimum order.
Xpress Tees is a Gold Coast screen printing company with two walk-in stores, in Ashmore and Surfers Paradise, and every order is printed in house rather than sent out to a third party, so turnaround and quality control stay in our hands from first proof to finished shirt.
Screen printing works by pushing ink through a fine mesh screen onto fabric, with the screen blocked out so colour reaches only the areas you want printed. That is what gives screen printed shirts their bold, layered colour and the durability to survive a lot of washing, which is why it is usually the right call for bulk orders rather than a handful of shirts.
It is the method we reach for most often for sports team kits, work uniforms, event merchandise and business branding, because the more shirts you print from the same screen, the further the per-shirt cost drops. There is no minimum order here, so a one-off shirt gets the same attention as a five hundred piece run, and most jobs are ready within our standard 7 to 10 day turnaround.
We print and deliver custom t-shirt printing for customers right across the Gold Coast, from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach down to Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta, and out to Nerang, Coomera, Helensvale, Pacific Pines and Pimpama, whether you can get into one of our stores or you would rather order online. See our full list of areas we serve for the suburb closest to you. You can build your own design using our online design tool, or send us your artwork and we will get it print ready.
Custom Screen Printing for Teams, Businesses & Events
Whatever the job is, we treat it the same way: talk through what you need, confirm the design and shirt colours, and send you a proof before anything goes to print, so there are no surprises when the order arrives.
Sports clubs and school teams use us for training tees, game day jerseys and end-of-season shirts, usually printed with a club or school logo plus player names and numbers where needed. Businesses use us for staff uniforms and polos, branded giveaways for trade shows and events, and merchandise for product launches. Community groups and event organisers use us for one-off runs, fun runs, fundraisers, birthdays and reunions, where a small quantity still needs to look professional.
You can design your shirt yourself using our online design tool and see exactly how it will look before you order, or send us your logo or artwork and our team will get it print ready for you. Orders over $80 ship free, and most jobs are turned around in 7 to 10 days, with rush options available if you let us know your deadline up front.

What We Print
Bulk Screen Printing for Teams & Events
Screen printing is the most cost-effective option once you are ordering more than a handful of shirts, because the setup cost of preparing the screen is spread across every shirt printed from it. A team of fifteen players, a staff of thirty, or a five hundred shirt event run all use the same process, just scaled up, and the price per shirt comes down as the quantity goes up.
We regularly print for sports clubs, school groups, corporate teams and event organisers across the Gold Coast, usually with a club or company logo, player or staff names, and sometimes sponsor logos on the sleeve or back. If you need player numbers or individual names, let us know when you order and we will lay out a proof showing exactly how each shirt will look before anything gets printed.
There is no minimum order size, so a smaller team is never charged a setup fee that only makes sense for a big run, but the real value shows up once you are ordering in bulk. Get in touch with your headcount and logo and we will put together a quote.
Business & Promotional Screen Printing
For businesses, screen printing is usually about consistency: the same logo, the same colours and the same placement on every shirt, whether that is a staff uniform, a trade show giveaway or merchandise for a product launch. Because the screen stays the same for the whole run, there is none of the shirt-to-shirt colour drift you can get with some digital methods, which matters when a brand’s colours need to match exactly.
We can work from your existing logo files, or help clean up or recreate a logo that is not print ready. Common jobs include branded polos and t-shirts for staff, corporate event shirts, promotional giveaways for expos and trade shows, and retail merchandise for local businesses.
This works whether you need five shirts for a small team or five hundred for a company-wide rollout, and every order ships free over $80. Send through your logo and the quantity you need and we will quote it. If you already have blank shirts on hand, our bring your own apparel service covers printing only, and for a single item outside a bulk run, print on demand has no bulk requirement at all.
Screen Printing vs DTF Printing: Which Should You Choose?
Screen printing and DTF (direct to film) printing both end up on the same shirt, but they suit different jobs. Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh screen and builds up bold, solid colour that holds up well to repeated washing, and it gets more cost-effective the more shirts you print from the same design, which is why it is usually our recommendation for team kits, uniforms and any order over about a dozen shirts.
DTF transfers a full-colour, detailed design onto the fabric using a special film and heat, which makes it a better fit for photographic designs, gradients, or very small orders where setting up a screen would not be worth it, since there is no setup cost tied to quantity.
If you are not sure which one your design needs, send it through and we will tell you honestly which method will look better and cost less for the quantity you are after, rather than defaulting to whichever is easier for us.

Common Questions
How much does screen printing cost on the Gold Coast?
Cost depends on the number of shirts, the number of print colours, and how many print locations you need (front only, front and back, sleeve, and so on), because each of those adds setup work. As a rough guide, the price per shirt drops noticeably once you are ordering more than about twenty, and drops again past fifty or a hundred. The only way to get an accurate number is to send us your design, quantity and shirt style, since a single-colour front print on fifty polos costs quite differently to a four-colour design on both sides of a hundred shirts. Get in touch for a free, no-obligation quote.
Is there a minimum order for screen printing?
No, there is no minimum order at either of our Gold Coast stores. A single shirt is printed with the same care as a bulk order, though the price per shirt will be higher on very small runs since the screen setup cost is shared across fewer garments. If you are ordering under about ten shirts, it is worth asking us whether DTF printing might work out cheaper for your design, since it does not carry the same setup cost. We will always tell you honestly which method suits your order size best.
How long does a screen printing order take?
Most screen printing orders are ready within our standard 7 to 10 day turnaround from when the design is approved, though this can vary with order size and how busy the queue is. If you have a fixed deadline, an event date or a season start, let us know when you place the order and we will tell you upfront whether it is achievable, and flag it immediately if it is not, rather than promising a date we cannot hit.
